Tulip Macro

This blog is essentially a "parking lot" for photos that I hope will inspire me while I'm doing my tulip photo tour.
The photographer said it only took him three years to get this shot.

Something a little different. Note the reflection in the ditch.
Sunrise over violet tulips in Mt. Vernon WA. I slept in my car the night before, and woke before sunrise to get into place. It was cold out, and there was frost on the tulips. It was pretty clouded over, but the sun broke free for about 60 seconds...long enough for me to get off a couple shots. I waited for an hour for the sun to come back, but it never did.
The photographer says:
I remember being disappointed but looking back now, it was worth it. Funny how that works. At the time, you don't really think about it, but you're forming the memories that you will look back on later.....even if they only come 60 seconds at a time.
